stinkeroni, stinkasaurus!!
It seems like Emma comes up with a new word everyday! A couple of weeks ago it was stinkasourus, today it's stinkeroni! Who knew that this little girl who almost didn't make it in this world would bring us so much laughter with her very unique sense of humor! I love her silliness and the crazy words she seems to create everyday!

One little, two little, three little Indians!
One little, two little, three little Indians!!! In Leah's school this week, we are learning about the letter Ii. We have also been working on a poem called " Indian Child".......so today we made Indian hats! Emma and Mady made one too! They loved them! Leah is learning so much already! she loves to get up and get dressed and "go to school". she is at her desk waiting for me every morning, ready to start school that day! If only I can figure out how to keep the other two little Indians busy, It would be a little easier for me : )
Leah the "Little spot"
Over this past weekend, Leah and I spent most of the evening on Saturday in the ER. Reason???...she started breaking out in spots all over her body, they did not itch, they did not hurt, she hardly had a fever, and was acting completely fine! But, she was covered in spots! We were told in the ER that maybe it was scarlet fever?!?!?....But, she didn't look that sick. s o they sent us home and told us to wait two days for the strep culture to come back and in the mean time go see her Pediatrician on Monday.
We went to our Pediatrician, who we love by the way!! (Dr. Degele with Jeffers and mann) she took one look at Leah and knew exactly what it was!! It is called Erythema Multiforme......basically she had a virus and her body had an allergic reaction to the virus!! Who knew you could actually be allergic to a virus! so Leah is now being called " Little spot "...she thinks it's funny! : )...........The spots will go away in one to two weeks. In the mean time " Little spot" is doing just fine!

Daddy's Birthday Cookies!
The girls wanted to make Daddy some cookies today for his "Birthday". I tried to tell them that it's not Daddy's Birthday, but that didn't go over to well.....so we found a sugar cookie recipe and put some toffee chips in it! They smell so good! I'm glad they were insistent that it was daddy's Birthday after all!!
Now if we can just hold off from eating them until Daddy gets home at 6!! Not sure if we will make it or not : )

Children obey your Parents!
so I've been working on teaching the girls different Bible verses in different situations for them. Lately the verse has been Ephesians 6:1-3. " Children obey your parents for this is right. honor your Father and Mother, which is the first commandment with promise, that it may be well with you and you may live long on earth.
It was going well until today, when I tried to apply it to Emma when she was throwing a screaming fit today on the way home from therapy. she wanted me to carry her while walking through the hospital back to the car. I told her no because Mommy had to push Mady in the stroller and that would not work ( much less my back would of caved!).
Anyway, so we were in the car and I said to her that she needed to stop her fit and obey Mommy! I also quoted the verse.......she then panicked because she thought she was going to die because she wasn't obeying Mommy!! Then I had to explain that she would not die today because she disobeyed Mommy, but yet I went to far, and tried to explain that one day we are all going to die ( and the whole Heaven and Hell and you need Jesus thing) It went OK until I said that even Mommy and Daddy will die one day. They were more concerned that Daddy was going to die than Mommy! Oh what a day today! Lord help me not terrify my kids today!! Love my girls!!

Sick days
We here in the Beatty house have been sick! Leah has two ear infections and Tim has the Shingles! Wow what a busy, crazy week!
Leah is getting better, and I do think Tim is getting better too. Now if I could just stop getting Tonsillitis we (I) would be a lot happier!
On the up side, it snowed this morning for four hours. Snow is so pretty to watch! But I am really glad it did not stick to the ground. hoping to be able to finally make pine cone bird feeders with the girls today. Will post pics when I can get it done.

Saturday Mornings
This morning I decided to get some cleaning done, and my girls wanted to help! They love to "clean" the windows! Which means, they love to spray windex over everything and wipe it up! So all my furniture and glass are super clean today! I love my girls, they are always wanting to help me whatever way they can! After they were done they did go outside and play with their Daddy. Saturdays are a lot of fun!

Snow Angel
We got snow!!! We got 6" of snow earlier this month. I am just now posting our video from that day!
The girls (Leah and Emma) loved it!! Madelyn did not care too much for it, she did a face plant in the snow and that was all she wanted to see of it.
Leah and Emma made snow angels with Tim, and they went down a hill with Tim on our make shift sleigh! They had a lot of fun and so did Tim and I. Leah is waiting for more snow so she can "make a snow man family with Daddy"!
Leah is learning how to write her name and read!!
Today I sat down with Leah to start teaching her how to read and write her name, Leah will turn four on April 28th. I was not sure if she would be able to do it or not, but to my surprise she got it!!
She was able to write her own name. She also learned how to read the words, Pat, Sat, Cat, Bat, and Rat. Tim and I are very proud of our Leah.
Emma is learning about the colors orange and yellow. She likes to do school work with her sister Leah.
Madelyn just likes to eat cheese puffs in her high chair as she watches us do school work. I am looking forward to homeschooling Leah this fall as she will start K4 through the A Beka home school program.
So my life is about to change, but I enjoy watching my children grow and learn new things! Even if I do feel like I'm loosing my mind some days!
